A. The success rate depends on a few factors. First, You (the owner) have a lot to do with the success of your property by pricing your home right. Secondly, our marketing program will expose your property locally and nationally for the most exposure.


Q. Are you just like a Realtor®?

A. No. For Sale by D.I.Y, Inc., is a real estate marketing company. We are not a Real Estate broker or agent. Nor, do we receive a commission for the sale of properties listed with the service.


Q. What does the For Sale by D.I.Y, Inc. program and services cost?

A. For Sale by D.I.Y, Inc.’s marketing packages start as low as $ 299. Please refer to our SELLER’S page for details about our 3 choices of packages. You may also refer to our SERVICES page for additional/optional services.


Q. Does For Sale by D.I.Y, Inc. do any local marketing for my property?

A. Our website is promoted locally thru various local newspapers, websites, affiliations, targeted direct mailings, insertions into these newspapers, road & lawn signage, etc. We are always striving to promote our company and your property with the best means available. Remember, your prospective buyer will see these means of marketing services and then contact you.


Q. Am I able to market my property with For Sale by D.I.Y, Inc. while under a listing contract with a Realtor®?

A. We recommend that you review the cancellation details on your listing contract and then take the necessary action. Most real estate listing contracts can be cancelled at any time, upon agreement of all parties involved to terminate the contract. Once your contract has been cancelled (or has expired), we would then be interested in marketing your property.


Q. Who writes my property description?

A. No one knows your property better than you. With this in mind, we suggest that you write this description. Once submitted, we will review this information upon set up and let you know if we feel that additional changes will be needed.


Q. Can I add pictures to my ad?

A. Yes. The number of pictures that will be allowed is based on which of the 3 Packages that you have chosen. Please refer to our SELLERS page for the descriptions. You will have the opportunity to upload your picture(s) during the setup process.


Q. Do I show my own property?

A. You will need to. Again, no one knows your property better than you.


Q. Do you install the signage or do I? Any installation fees?

A. Yes. We will install our high quality lawn signage for our PREMIUM and CUSTOM customers only. We will make accommodations with you on delivering our Basic lawn signage to you. Their will be no installation fees.


Q. How long will my property be marketed with For Sale by D.I.Y, Inc.?

A. We offer 3 package choices that reflect the length of marketing for each. If you agree to our BASIC package you will receive 3 months, PREMIUM packages receive 5 months and CUSTOM will be marketed until it’s sold.


Q. Is there a penalty for canceling my package?

A. No penalty. If you decide to take your property off the market, for any reason, please contact us by e-mail (see our “About Us" page) to let us know.


Q. I have a prospective buyer. What do I do?

A. We will provide you with a standard purchase and sale contract. Once an offer is put in writing on this contract, we recommend that you immediately contact your real estate attorney to make sure that all of the necessary information has been exchanged and that they assist you through the closing process.


Q. When should I contact a real estate lawyer?

A. We recommend that you consult legal advise when entering into any contract but in this case, legal advice on the closing process.
